TEST STRATEGIES 101 WORKSHOP (SAT/ACT)

KAPLAN TEST PREP will host a FREE workshop titled TEST STRATEGIES 101 WORKSHOP (SAT/ACT) at Book Revue on Tuesday, February 2nd at 7pm. During this free one hour workshop, both parents and students can learn how to score higher on the SAT or ACT using key Kaplan strategies. The format and content of the test are covered, including ways to take advantage of the test format to maximize efficiency on the exam. Various question types are reviewed and answered using key strategies. Students and parents are given a study plan for success.

Low Cost NYHELPs Loans Now Available


The New York Higher Education Loan Program (NYHELPs) gives students and families a low-cost way to make up the difference between the cost of college and available financial aid. NYHELPs requires that students exhaust all State, federal (other than PLUS), and institutional student aid to which they are entitled in order to apply for a loan. Hope for Homeowners

The Town of Huntington will present a free seminar "Hope for Homeowners: Managing Money in Tough Times & Taking Positive Steps to Avoid Foreclosure" on Thursday January 28th at 6:30PM at St. Hugh of Lincoln RC Church. The seminar will cover methods to prevent foreclosure & options in the event that you have to deal with such a situation. Tips on how to better manage your finances will also be discussed.
