Home Study Programs for HSE/TASC (GED)


Home Study Program For HSE/TASC (HSA024)

Join us at the Huntington Public Library Station Branch to learn about a free, at-home study program for adults 21 and over, who would like to prepare for the HSE/TASC (formerly GED) exam, but are unable to attend classes on a regular basis. Certified instructors provide you with assignments to complete at home. Assignments are picked up at the library. Telephone assistance is also available. Job Fair in Recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month

The One-Stop Employment Center will be hosting a Job Fair in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month on Monday, October 27th from 10-2 pm. Companies from a variety of Long Island industries are expected to attend.  The Job Fair will be presented by Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing & Consumer Affairs & the Suffolk County Office for People with Disabilities.  All are welcome. No registration required. Bring copies of your resume!

The Veteran Employment Expo October 22nd

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone presents The Veteran Employment Expo which will take place Wednesday, October 22nd from 10-2 pm at Suffolk County Community College (Police Academy Building) in Brentwood.  Over 60 companies will be participating.  Suffolk County Transit bus routes to the Brentwood Campus are 3A, S33 & S41.
