Onsite Recruitment December 10th

Richner Communications, an expanding Long Island publisher of 30 newspapers and shoppers as well as commercial printer, will be recruiting on Thursday, December 10th from 9-12 pm at the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center.  They are recruiting for the following positions:


Inside Sales Representative (5 Job Openings)
Sell classified advertising & other products-cold calling & maintaining existing accounts.  Prior experience with inside advertising sales & knowledge of ad design a plus. Candidates must be computer literate & have strong communication, phone & customer service skills. Base + Commission.

Outside Sales Representative (15 Job Openings)
Sell advertising space in weekly newspapers, circulation shopper, coupon book & direct mail products.  Soliciting local businesses & national chains & developing marketing & advertising plans. Candidates must have prior sales experience, a car & a valid driver's license.  Must have strong verbal & written communication skills & be computer literate. Base + Commission.

Long Island Career Fair December 10th

Former students struggling with student loan debt may find help in federal reforms instituted for “Student Loan Forgiveness” and “Loan Repayment Programs.” You may be able to eliminate some or all of your student loans in exchange for choosing certain careers, military service, and even volunteer work. The Federal Student Loan Service Center explains these programs, loan consolidation, and the services they can provide, including personalized analysis of your student loan portfolio to determine your eligibility, and assistance in the completion of forms and applications. 8th Annual Latino College Fair November 21st

The Latino College Fair allows students and parents/guardians to meet and talk with more than 50 independent college and university admission and financial aid representatives. The “Planning and Paying for College” workshop will help students and their families better understand the admissions and financial aid process and programs. The session, simultaneously translated into Spanish via headphones, will cover college affordability, including explanations of grants and scholarships plus financial aid forms, terms and deadlines. The “Ask the Financial Aid Expert” stations provide students and families an opportunity to sit down with financial aid experts to get answers to their specific questions about paying for college.
