Join us at the Huntington Public Library Station Branch to learn about a free, at-home study program for adults 21 and over, who would like to prepare for the HSE/TASC (formerly GED) exam, but are unable to attend classes on a regular basis. Certified instructors provide you with assignments to complete at home. Assignments are picked up at the library. Telephone assistance is also available. The Volunteer Opportunities Fair aims to connect adult and student volunteers with representatives from various agencies in the Huntington area and across Long Island. Volunteers are vital to help these organizations fulfill their mission. If you have some time to give, stop by to meet representatives and discover the many ways to volunteer. Representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association, The American Legion, Family Service League of Suffolk County, Greenlawn Fire Department, The Guide Dog Foundation, The Huntington Arts Council, Huntington Historical Society, Little Shelter Animal Rescue, SeniorNet, YMCA and more will be participating and available to speak with you.
