Long Island Career Fair May 11th

Are you looking for a job? Are you tired of sending resumes left and right and never getting an answer? If you are, dress in your best professional clothes, bring resumes and visit our Long Island Career Fair on Monday, May 11th from 11-2 pm at the Melville Marriott Long Island. You will have the opportunity to meet top employers and to interview for several positions during the course of the day, meeting the people who make the hiring decisions. You will save a lot of time since there will be no need to craft a customized personal statement for each company you visit. You’ll be able to tell them why you wish to work for them, and you’ll have the chance to sell yourself.  Admission is FREE. Complimentary on-site parking.

Join us at the Huntington Public Library Station Branch to learn about a free, at-home study program for adults 21 and over, who would like to prepare for the HSE/TASC (formerly GED) exam, but are unable to attend classes on a regular basis. Certified instructors provide you with assignments to complete at home. Assignments are picked up at the library. Telephone assistance is also available. Home Health Aide

The LIEOC offers a Home Health Aide program that will run from May 18th-June 30th from 9-5pm at the Brentwood Location.  The program is NYS approved curriculum that combines classroom work with laboratory practice, clinical experience & a certification exam.  Upon successful completion the individual will be certified as a Home Health Aide & qualified to work in either a home setting or an assisted living facility.  Tuition is FREE.     Veterans Career Conference April 10th

    Suffolk County Community College has a long history of assisting veterans not only in maximizing their benefits, but also in supporting a successful transition to college life and achieving their educational goals.     The Long Island Career Fair will take place on Thursday, April 30th from 11-2 pm at the Melville Marriott Long Island.     The Fair is free to high-school students, parents and anyone else interested in higher education. Students can meet one-on-one with admissions counselors to discuss entrance requirements, campus life, application deadlines and majors. Representatives will have brochures, catalogs and other literature to describe their institutions.
