Program Helps Jobless Professionals Get Back On Track

Stony Brook University now offers a new program that prepares unemployed professionals for project management or business analysis certifications, provides job-search support and even introduces them to employers. Pat Malone, the program's director says "the Professional Group Program funded by Long Island's three Workforce Investment Boards, run by state and county labor departments, is a way to help professionals navigate this crisis in the economy and job market". Prospective participants can learn more at Long Island's One Stop Career Centers or by e-mailing sbucet@stonybrook.edu. Click here to read an article about the Professional Group Program.
