  • learn to construct homes using state-of-the-art green building techniques.
  • Be part of providing safe, affordable, environmentally-friendly housing for homeless and low-income families in your community.
  • Earn monetary and enrichment incentives as you complete programs tiers.

Profile For Potential Candidates



  • Young men and women, ages 18 to 24.
  • Economically disadvantaged.
  • Residents of Suffolk County and Nassau County, contact a YouthBuild staff member st 631-940-3704.
  • Not currently enrolled in school, and looking to obtain their GED.
  • Interested in obtaining a pre-Apprenticeship certificate in the construction trade.
  • Interested in furthering their education beyond high school.
  • Serious about their future and committed to changing their lives.
  • This program is free for participants.
