Suffolk County Community College Showcases New Manufacturing Technology Program
Over the next five years, more than 4,000 regional manufacturing jobs will be opening up in a wide range of industries, including jobs in emerging renewable energy industries both locally and nationally. This new innovative A.A.S. program provides high-quality education that affords graduates opportunities for employment in industries related to the manufacturing of everything from electronics to biomedical supplies to green consumer products and parts for the aerospace industry. The program will debut for the Fall 2009 semester and will operate from a newly constructed 18,000 square-foot environmetally sensitive, LEED-certified building on the Brentwood campus.
